Lonnie Solomon was shot in a drive-by shooting by people in a Nissan sedan, sheriff's officials said.A woman called deputies at 9:28 a.m. reporting someone had been shot in the foot, said sheriff spokesman Brandon Haught. Deputies later made contact with the woman and learned that the shooting occurred in a driveway at 2870 Chalmer St., Haught said.Soloman's girlfriend drove him to his mother’s house on Glenlock Street, where deputies found him. About 14 deputies responded to the scene to search for the shooter, but officials say the shooting wasn't reported for 10 minutes and the victim didn't provide a useable suspect description, so a suspect was not found. The teen was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center by ambulance with an injury not considered life-threatening, Haught said. The incident is under investigation, Haught said.
