Ray Gaiter Sr., 29, of Akron, guilty of possessing crack, gang activity, carrying a concealed weapon, failing to comply with police, tampering with evidence and having a gun after a felony conviction. Prosecutors said patrol officers tried to stop Gaiter's car on April 16. He threw something out of the window. They retrieved 134 grams of crack. Gaiter led officers on a car chase before he jumped out and ran. They caught him, and officers identified him as a member of the Kaika Klan gang.
While out on bond, Gaiter was stopped Feb. 11 for a traffic violation. Officers found a loaded gun near the driver's seat. He will be sentenced April 21 by Common Pleas Judge Judith Hunter.
