Shooting left one man dead and two others critically wounded

Shooting early today in the unincorporated Florence area left one man dead and two others critically wounded, sheriff’s officials said.The incident occurred at about 12:30 a.m. in the 7000 block of Compton Ave. All three men, described as adult male Latinos, were transported to a local hospital, where one was pronounced dead, said Sheriff’s Deputy Oscar Butao. Two other victims were in critical but stable condition. The identities of the victims were not released.
