Angel Gabriel Escobedo, 19 was shot numerous times by two gang members during a confrontation at a neighborhood park on Green Meadow Drive.
18-year-old man was shot multiple times on Holm Road and police across the county are searching for the vehicle that sped away from the scene.
Details about the shooting, which was reported by multiple 911 callers around 12:17 p.m. Tuesday, are few. The teen was shot with a semi-automatic handgun at 39 Holm Road, according to emergency dispatchers. Medics taking the teen to meet a medical helicopter at Watsonville Community Hospital reported the teen was alert and awake, and that the bleeding was controlled. Police issued a county-wide be-on-the-lookout bulletin for the car thought to be involved: a silver or gray Honda Accord with tinted windows driven by a Latino man with one passenger, also a Latino man. The car was last seen driving toward Airport Boulevard. Gun violence has been on the uptick in Watsonville in the past few days. A Hollister teen was gunned down on a basketball court Saturday afternoon in what police are calling a gang-motivated slaying. Angel Gabriel Escobedo, 19, who was not in a gang, was shot numerous times by two gang members during a confrontation at a neighborhood park on Green Meadow Drive. Watsonville police Lt. Darren Thompson said Tuesday that detectives have no suspects in fatal shooting "just frustrated detectives who are working a lot of hours." However, witnesses are still cooperating with the investigation, which Thompson said was very helpful. Detectives are looking into the possibility that surveillance cameras could have captured part of the crime. They also may work up a sketch of the shooter and his accomplice. Earlier Saturday, a 25-year-old Salinas man was shot in the leg in front of a La Esparanza Market on Main Street. Police have not confirmed that shooting was gang-related, but said neither the victim nor witnesses were cooperative.

Cool blog. I'm a follower of gang blogs. I guess you could say L.A gangs are my true passion but I'm interested in all gangs in general.
I don't mean to criticize your blog , well maybe a little constructive criticism, but alot of these stories look like cut and paste jobs and they don't mention the city or state that the article takes place.
