Abbotsford/Mission murder capital of Canada - News1130: "For the second year in a row, Statistics Canada says Abbotsford-Mission is the murder capital of Canada. The study says the Fraser Valley area recorded nine homicides last year, topping the list for metropolitan regions between 100,000 and 500,000 people.

Police recorded 610 homicides across Canada last year, almost unchanged from 2008. However, one in five homicides was linked to gangs in 2009."
